Glossybox March 2013

I just signed up for my first ever Glossybox last week. I was expecting to get my first box when the April boxes shipped, but I found a lovely surprise when I got home today. My March 2013 Glossybox was in the mail. I felt just like a kid on Christmas.

Glossybox is a bespoke box of 5-6 luxury-sized cosmetic and wellness samples hand-picked by beauty experts and mailed directly to your door. The monthly cost is $21. If you are interested in learning more about Glossybox or if you are interested in joining Click Here!!!

This month's theme was Spring Fling. The message from the card reads as follows:

Spring is everywhere, and here at GLOSSYBOX we couldn't be more excited! For us, it's all about renewal - updating your look, refreshing your skin. To help you shake off winter, we've designed an array of delightful springtime beauty. You'll find essential oil enriched soap for cleansing, hair spray for warm nights on the town, the perfect universal shade for lips and cheeks when you're on the go, and so much more. So add a spring to your step and enjoy the season!

The first item is the Koh Gen Do Cosmetics Oriental Plants Emollient Cream.  This rich, moisturizing face cream melts into skin, protecting and nourishing it from dryness. It is a well-kept skincare secret for fresh dewy skin that contains vitamin A and botanical extracts, which leaves your skin feeling smooth and looking radiant. The full size product is 1.06 oz and it costs $123. We received a .23 oz sample, essentially $32.49 worth of product. I can't wait to try this product. I tried a bit on my hand and it went on smoothly.

The second item is the MODELCO Cheek + Lip Tint. This cheek and lip tint provides the right amount of color for a natural rosy flush, just in time for spring! The gel formulation leaves you with "just pinched" cheeks and sexy, lightly stained lips. We received a full size product which is worth $24. Below is a swatch of the cheek and lip tint.

The next item is a Pixi nail polish in Fresh Red. This nail polish delivers rich, high definition color. The formula is chip-resistant, applies smoothly, and contains built-in UV protection to prevent polish discoloration. We received a full size bottel which is worth $8. I really like the color. It's similar to other nail polishes I have, but one can never have too many pink nail polishes :-) I will let you all know once I test it out if this nail polish is chip-resistant. I usually find that my nail polishes chip really quickly.

The fourth item is the Prestiche Essential Oil Bar Soap. My soap is a lemongrass soap with olive oil. This bar soap is made from the highest quality all-natural ingredients, which are hand selected by seasoned botanists, herbalist, and cosmetic gurus. It will soothe even those with extremely sensitive skin, as it contains rich essential oils and vitamins that work to leave sking soft, refreshed and aromatic. We received a full size product which is worth $16.99. I personally think that this is super pricey for a bar of soap, but it does smell great. They also gave us a $40 gift card to spend on their website. I will be checking that out later. I have seen from other reviews that you do have to pay a $12 shipping fee.

The last item is the Sebastian Professional Shaper Fierch hairspray. From unkempt bed heads to high-fashion chignons, this shaping spray provides buildable, flexible hold while maintaining a high-shine gloss - a definite must-have for keeping your fashionalble 'dos in place. A 10.6 oz bottle cost $17. We received a 1.5 oz sample, which is approximately worth $2.41. It does not smell all that great, but I will let you know how well it holds up my dos.

All in all I'm very satisfied with by March 2013 Glossybox. This box was worth approximately $84, which is four times what the box costs.

What did you guys get in your March Glossybox? Have you tried the products? Which one was your favorite? Please leave comments and don't forget to subscribe.
