Influenster Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation Unboxing

Hey guys... I wanted to share my review of the Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation. The foundation will be available for sale starting January 2014

I have tried it a couple of times and I am pleased to even though I don't think my skin type is the best for this foundation in particular, it is a great foundation for people with oily skin. I have combination skin (it can get a little dry during the winter), so I don't normally have problems with foundation making my face look shiny. In the video above I have a before and after picture to demonstrate how the foundation looks on. From the pictures, you can see that I have a little shine before applying the foundation and no shine when I have the foundation on. I do have to say that the shade I was provide was a tad light for my skin tone, nonetheless it does not take away from the functionality of the foundation.

To get a natural matte finish on my skin I start by applying a moisturizer and a bit of primer. After it set I applied the the Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation (color is True Ivory) using my beauty blender. A little does go a long way, so you do not need a whole lot of foundation. I would suggest starting with a small amounts and applying more if you would like a bit more coverage.

The foundation doesn’t feel heavy on my skin, which I like because I do not like the feel of heavy makeup. It was super easy to apply and it blended well. I would say that it has a medium coverage. After applying it, I definitely noticed a more even skin tone and minimized pores. I really enjoyed trying out this product and I definitely recommend it. Thanks Influenster and Rimmel London.

Will you be buying Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation once it hit stores?

Disclosure: I received the Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster. As always opinions shared here are 100% my own.

BeautyFix Summer 2013!!!

Hi all, I received my Beautyfix Box a while back. I finally got off my lazy bum and decided to share it with you guys. For those of you that do not know anything about BeautyFix, it used to be a quarterly subscription (the summer box was the last box. Now instead of beautyfix, you can get the blush mystery box instead which is a monthly subscription) where you will get to choose 8 products you would like to receive from the panelist selections. The cool thing about this is that most items are either full size or deluxe sample. The cost is $49.99

The first two items I received were the Nailtiques Hand Conditioner ($13.99) and Nailtiques Color Lacquer in the color Vienna ($10). I'm not a fan of the smell of the hand cream, but probably I will like it better when I actually use it. The nail polish is ok. I had received a very similar color in my Lip Factory box, so I kind of wish Beautyfix would have sent me another color (I did not choose which color to receive for the nail polish).

The next two items were the Exuviance Rejuvenating Treatment Masque ($34) and the Vichy Acqualia Thermal Cream ($18.34). I'm Excited to try these two items out. The masque will probably last me a while since I don't use a masque daily. I've never tried products from either brand, so I can't wait to see whether I would like them or not.

The next two items are the Arcona Magic White Ice ($20) and the Lisa Hoffman Night & Day 2 Vitamin A & C Serum ($47.50). Both of the items are serum, so I have serum to last me for a while. I have not used any products from these brands either, so I am excited to try these too.

The last two items are the Pedi Buffer Black Mandarin Bamboo Infusion ($10.99) and the Jane Iredale Lip Drink with SPF 15 ($12). I do my own pedicure for the most part so I am excited to try this buffer out. Plus this smells amazing. I have used other Jane Iredale products. This lip drink is moisturizing and it also has SPF which is a plus.

All in all the total value of this box was $166.82 and I only paid $49.99. Its too bad that this box was discontinued because you definitely get a very good value for what you pay for. What do you guys thing of this box? Are you disappointed that it was discontinued?

Birchbox New York Fashion Week Birchblogger Event

On Monday, Birchbox held an event for its BirchBloggers Network at Birchbox Local. The even was completely free. In the event you were able to get pampered (manicures, makeup, hair, etc), enjoy free drinks and candy as well as create your own Birchbox. There was also a Q&A session with Katia and Jean Godfrey June, Beauty Editor of Lucky Magazine. Birchbox local is open to the public from September 12, 2013 to September 16, 2013. For more information, visit www.birchbox.com/local.

Below are some pictures from the event

I created my own Birchbox by choosing 5 samples from the sample wall or Oasis as Birchbox calls it. Below are the items that I got

The first item is Mally Beauty Age Rebel Waterproof Shadow Stick ($12.95) in Smoky Quartz. I gotta say I am absolutely in love with this eye shadow and the color is perfect for fall. I think I might pick up more of these when I get a chance.

The next item is the Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow ($22) in Medium/Deep. I can't wait to give these a try. I've only used a brow pencil before, so it would like to see how this compares.

The next item is the Pur Minerals Dirty Girl Detoxifying Mudd Masque ($3.63). I've been dying to try a mud mask so when I saw this as one of the samples, I made sure to grab it.

The next item is the Marcelle Gentle Make-Up Remover for Sensitive Eyes ($15). I'm not sure if I have sensitive eyes, but I think I do, so I can't wait to try this. It looks very similar to the Neutrogena eye make-up remover that I'm currently using.

The final item is the Origins Modern Friction Nature's Gentle Dermabrasion ($9.40). I can't wait to give this a try once I'm done with my current exfoliator.

Al in all the value of my FREE box is $62.98. Thank you Birchbox for hosting this even. I hope that I get to participate in future events.

Influenster Sargento Cheese VoxBox

I received my first ever VoxBox from Influenster. I received all the products complimentary from Influenster for review purposes.

Influenster is an online community where you can review products and learn what people think about products you are interested in. It is completely free to join. The more active you are on this site as well as the social media interactions you have with this site, the higher you will be rated (i.e scored). Based on this score you will be able to qualify from time to time for free VoxBoxes to review. You can learn more about Influenster at Influenster. If you are interested in joining you can leave a comment down below with you email so that I can send you an invite or go directly to Influenster and request an invite.

A lot of people might be like, free cheese, I'll pass, but I am actually excited to have gotten this VoxBox because I love me some cheese!!!

I have already tried various Sargento Cheeses before and they are usually my number 1 choice when it comes to cheese. Soooo to the fun stuff...What was in the box you ask?

Inside the box was a cheese stick cooler, which I think is really cute and very practicable. I will definitely be using this to take my cheese sticks for snack to work. I also received a coupon for a free natural cheese snack of 5oz or more and a $1 off any natural cheese snack of 5oz or more.

I redeemed my free cheese coupon at my local supermarket. I live in NY, so things here are a bit more expensive than in other states. A 12oz Natural Cheese Snack costs $4.29. It might be a bit pricier than other cheese snacks, but Sargento Cheese is definitely worth the price. I got the Light String Cheese, which is made with 2% Milk and 50% less fat. Each cheese stick is 50 calories, so I won't feel bad if I have two cheese sticks instead.

Overall I was very happy with the VoxBox, so I want to thank you Influenster for choosing me to review Sargento Cheese. I can't wait to be chosen for other Influenster programs.

Beauty Box 5 June 2013

Beauty Box 5 delivers a monthly Beauty Box with 4 - 5 samples of your favorite brands for just $12 a month. If you are interested in signing up, click here.

The first two items are the Coolway Cool Cleanse Shampoo and Conditioner (a $4.76 value). I don't mind getting shampoo and conditioner samples, but I'm on a shampoo/conditioner overload so I don't get super excited when I get them.

The next item is the Just Being Sexy Body Bronzer (a $6 value). We received two sample foil packets. I have yet to try this. I'm not big on bronzers as I'm always afraid that it won't apply evenly, that it would look orange or that there would be streaks. I definitely will give this a try. It will have to wait a bit as I have other bronzer samples that I have not tried yet.

The next item is the Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Lotion with SPF 30 ($1.66). There was also a $1.00 of coupon for a future purchase. I was actually excited about this since I was about to go on vacation and needed a new sunscreen for my body, so I definitely took advantage of the coupon code.

The last item I received was he Brazen Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Heavenly ($4). I learned about this company through Beauty Box 5 and I like their products so far. I only wish that the packaging had a sifter on it, because since it is powder makeup, it can get messy.

The total value of the box came out to be $16.42. Its not necessarily the best value box, but it has definitely introduced me to new products, so I still like this subscription box. What do you guys think. Did you enjoy the June Box?

Jewelmint Summer Mystery Box (8 piece box)

Jewelmint is not your typical subscription website. When you sign up you complete a beauty profile and based on the profile, every month you will have a "showroom" with different jewelry pieces. You can select two pieces each month for $29.99. If you do not like any of the pieces in any given month, you can skip the month, but you have to skip between the 1st and the 5th of the month or else you will be charged. If you are interesed in joining click here.

Every so often Jewelmint releases a mystery box where you are guranteed a certain number of pieces and a certain value. This time they release the Summer Mystery box. There were three options, a 3 piece box for $29.99, a 5 piece box for $39.99 and an 8 piece box for $49.99. I purchased the 8 piece box.

The first two pieces were the Chocolate Link necklace and bracelet. I like this set as it is very nice and you could use it for everyday wear. I have to figure out how to make the bracelet smaller as it does fit big on my wrist. Each piece costs $29.99.

Next I receieved three necklace. The first one is the Rahpsody Rope Necklace. This is a piece that I would not normally pick out for myself. I will have to figure out what to wear this with, so any suggestions you guys may have are more than welcome. This piece cost $29.99.
The next neckalce is the Chain of Honor necklace. This piece was on sale on their site for $19.99 so that is the price I will be using. This is another piece I would not normally pick out for myself. It is quite interesting and different. I will also need to figure out what to wear this with.
The last necklace is Lavender Slate necklace. This is one of my favorite pieces that I received and this also was on sale on their site for $19.99. I will definitely be wearing this piece.

The last three pieces were:

The Mural Bangle which is my favorite piece of the entire mystery box. This cost $29.99. I have already worn this piece quite a few times and I think this will definitely be a staple piece in my wardrobe.

The Blue Angel earrings. These earrings were on sale for $19.99. These are very pretty. I normally stick to smaller earrings, but I will definitely give these a try.

The las item is a set of 10 bangles. I was not able to find these on their site, so I will assume they cost $19.99. These bangles are not necessarily the best quality, but they will go well for a very casual every day type of look

In total this box is worth $199.92 and I only paid $49.99, so the box is definitely worth what I paid. I’m very happy with this box and I will definitely be getting more mystery boxes in the future. Did you guys order a Jewelmint Mystery Box? What pieces did you receive?

Lip Factory June 2013

Lip Factory is a monthly subscription which cost $22 per month. This is a makeup only subscription, so ever month you get various makeup items, which is one of the reasons why I subscribed to this box. If you are interested in subscribing click here.
The first item I received is the Befine Exfoliating Cleanser (One Sample Packet). This exfoliating cleanser has brown sugar, crushed almonds and soothing oats. It’s like food for your face. I can’t wait to try this out. The sample is valued at $2.

The two items are from Mani Panic and they are the Radioactive High Voltage Lip Gloss and the Raven Mascara. The lip gloss is in the color Naked and it is really cool because it has a mirror and when you open it, the top has a light so it is perfect if you find yourself in a dark place like a club or something, so you can easily apply your lip gloss. The value of the lip gloss is $12. The Mascara is just black. I’m looking forward to try it out and see if it really gives volume.  The mascara retails for $10.

The next item is the Essence Volumizing Lash Powder. I have already tried out this product and it definitely gives my lashes volume. I still have to get a hold on how to use it better, because it has a lot of fiber and sometimes I feel like I might use a bit too much, so it bulks up a little. The lash powder retails for $3.49. The next item is the Colour U Cosmetics Loose Shadows in the color Caribbean Sea. It is a nice blue/green or teal like color. Perfect for the summer. The shadow retails for $15.

The next item is from 29 Costmetics and it’s the Reserves Moisturizing Lipstick SPF 20. I got the color Wine Critic and it’s a berry red. This is not a color that I would normally wear, but I will definitely use it. This lipstick sells for $25.

The last item is the Londontown Nail Lakur in the color Tea Time. It is a nice nude pink which I really like especially for occasions when you want to tone down your nail colors. This retails for $22.

The total value for this month’s box is $89.49, which is an amazing value especially when the whole box only cost $22. I really like this subscription. Did you get this month’s lip Factory? If not, what are you waiting for?

Ipsy Glam Bag June 2013

I received the June Ipsy Glam Bag and am excited to show all of you its contents. Ipsy is a monthly subscription where each month, subscribers will receive a beautiful Glam Bag with deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Members can watch and play along with the stylists with the same products that they are using. All for only $10 a month. Click here if you wish to subscribe to the receive the monthly Glam Bag.

The first item I received is the J. Cats Sparkling Cream Palette. This is the item I was least excited about. I'm not really into glitter so more than likely this is something I will not use. The cost of this item is $4.49

The next item is the NYX Mosaic Powder in the color Silk. I like this color and I think it would go well with my skin. I received a .2 oz size blush and it cost $7.

The next item I received was the Starlooks lip pencil in the color Bear. It is a very neutral color. I will probably use it as a base before applying lipstick. I received a full size lip pencil which retails for $12.
The next item I received was the Cailyn Gel Eyeliner in Iron. I was excited to get this because i have never used a gel eyeliner so it is something new to me and I love the packaging. This is another full sized item and it retails for $21.

The last item Bag is the Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter pencil. I use to highlight my eyebrows. This is a full size and it retails for $18.

The total value of this bag is $62.49 and I only paid $10 for it, so it is a great value. Did you get an ipsy bag this month. Please share what items you received.

PopSugar Must Have June 2013

Hi All. I received my June 2013 PopSugar Must Have Box and I wanted to share the contents of the box with you. For those of you that do not know, PopSugar Must Have is a monthly subscription for which you will receive hand-selected items in beauty, fashion, home, fitness and food, full-sized and premium products worth over $100 for just $35 a month. Click here if you would like to subscribe to receive the monthly PopSugar Must Have boxes.

The first item I received was a scarf from Gorjan & Grffin - Zuma Scarf and $25 gift card. The scarf is worth $62. I don't normally use scarf as an accessory, but I really like this one so I think I might just start using scarfs.

The next two items are the Juice Beauty Stem Cell Repair Moisturizer & CC Creams. They provided the CC creams in natural glow and warm glow. I have previously received the CC cream before in a BeautyFix box. I liked it and I'm actually currently using it. I'm very excited to try the moisturizer. The moisturizer is full size and it is worth $65. The CC creams are worth  for $39 for 1.7oz. I received 2 .17 oz which is approximately worth $7.80.

The next item is the Hard Candy Fitness DVD Addicted to Sweat 4. The workout was designed by Madonna's trainer and its workouts that she used to do with Madonna herself. I still have not tried it, but I definitely need to. This DVD costs $19.95.

The next item I am really excited about and it was actually in my reading list. Its the Revenge Wears Prada - The Devil Returns book by Lauren Weisberger. I'm going away in 3 weeks, so this book will definitely be in my bag. The book is worth $25.99.

The next two items are food type items. The first is the Project 7 Quench the thirsty wintergreen Mint. I like the flavor of the mints. The cost of the mints are $21.48 for 12. We received one which is worth $1.79. The next items is Popcorn Indiana Be Fit Popcorn flavor sea salt. I have to tell you, these were amazing. I have to find where they sell these locally. And the bag was completely full. Not like most popcorn/chips bag which is full of air. The cost of the popcorn is $31.95 for 6, so this one bag is worth $5.33. A bit pricey, but they are sooooooo good, I would not mind paying a higher price for them.

The total for this month's box is $212.86 and I only paid $35 plus tax so it came out to a little bit under $40. Popsugar is easily becoming one of my favorites subscription boxes. Did you guys enjoy your Popsugar box this month? I definitely did. I can't wait for the July box, which is their anniversary month.
